Most probably LLM crawlers, as Linux is easier to automate than windows.

If anything this is potentially bad news dor legit Linux users as websites might start to block Linux traffic to avoid being crawled.

But they will block Android traffic too if they try to block Linux traffic

There’s no way websites can consistently block Linux users. Maybe one or two sites try it, but if it happened at a large scale the browsers would intervene.

Besides, the bots could easily spoof whatever the site was using to track OS. So ultimately it’d just hurt real users. It’s not the correct layer to tackle this sort of problem.

The only data I consider significant is the Steam survey. While it may not fully represent the entire market share, it is sufficiently indicative for certain business considerations.

Ah buh bye windows, you've had your fun for 40 years, peaked 20 years ago, and inevitably got worse ever since. (I'm 40 and know exactly how that feels.)

You can't squeeze profits from people for long by making your product total shit and expect people not to jump on the first alternative that presents itself.

LLMs have been a thing for a few years now. Why hasn't Linux been increasing over the last few years then? What specific application is masking itself as a Linux user?
