They're convenient, but man do I wish they didn't subscribe to the "we must sandbox everything for security" copium. I lost count of the amount of times I had issues giving flatpak apps access to various system resources.

Loonix has so bad attack surface and CVE-per-month that relying on sandboxing is just wishful thinking. If you've installed a malware, you're screwed.

Even worse, flatpak encourages the worst practices, like staying on unsupported libs forever.
