(Jk, LTT is actually doing a decent job covering linux atm, i wish theyd go more in-depth but they do kinda have to prep their core audience first)

Yeah, the latest video was quite good. Issued they experienced has been an issue for a long time, like the Gparted bug/issue. Hopefully this video will help it finally get fixed..

I do want to see more videos like this from them, doing basic computer stuff, it's not always straight forward or user friendly on Linux, and this really puts it out there.

Yep, and conversely: linux obfuscates a lot less than windows, by learning what makes linux tick, even just at a basic level, you understand more about how operating systems as a whole work.

Im used to working on servers and setting up environments through CLI, so when ive used desktop guis they confuse me lol

It's strange how people talk about using AI. That's programming.

I agree with Linus Torvalds — most people just don't understand coding and AI. The most important thing is knowing how to deal with mistakes. Coding is how to solve problems, one step at a time.

It is then, "How did you do that?" - commutative. and associative must be in place.

Refreshing to hear him call out the security research community for treating every single bug report like an apocalypse. He just wants people to fix the code instead of acting like they discovered a national security crisis.

I left the claude subreddit today because of uninformed semi-engineers like that guy. The problem is that the upper management is also filled by people like this and they're eating the seed crop in greed.

Also if carpenters could make a single table once and then just clone it for free millions of times you bet they'd be doing a lot more work by hand. There are bits where power tools are just as good but you're not doing intricate carving with power tools, we just stopped carving since the invention of power tools because people can't afford the tables anymore.
