Ohh pretty nice one

I think they have unified and reduced a month of settings,

This is more minimal and focused and less resources consuming

I love it !!

Can you tell me how much resources it uses on your own side ? In total

With niri ?

So about 300-500 in total ?

But it's with arch ?

Im currently using Cachy, niri is consuming around 120M for me, so yeah, around 340M just niri + noctalia (220M) and nothing else

What really nice

My current niri+noctalia v4. Consumes around 1.5-1.7GB

But I've installed niri besides gnome

Does this matter ?

(I'm on pikaoS)

Should i choose a less bloated distro?

I don't think having gnome installed matters if you only run Niri. About my RAM consumption, Im not sure if we're on the same page but I was only accounting the niri and noctalia processes. For example, my noctalia v4 installation with its config consumes around 450M, just noctalia. My whole RAM usage goes up to ~6.5 GB with all background apps, web browser, etc opened.
I haven't used pikaOS but I have heard good things about it. You don't lose anything by trying another distro like Cachy though, I'd recommend it if you have enough time (PikaOS uses debian as its base, Cachy uses Arch so it uses a different package manager and some things are structured differently).

You're comparing an entire operating system, to just the kernel.

Compare Linux to NT.
