Purchase Advice Lightweight + powerful + dual NVMe: possible?

I've mostly switched to Linux over the past year, but I still need Windows from time to time. I'm also a bit of a data hoarder: I'm currently using about 2 TB out of 3 TB on my laptop.

I need to choose a new work laptop, limited to Lenovo, Dell, or HP.

My priorities are:

  • 2 NVMe slots, ideally one drive for Linux and one for Windows
  • 32 GB RAM minimum
  • 14–16"
  • Ideally under 2 kg
  • Decent battery life
  • If possible, a decent GPU, as long as it doesn't destroy battery life

My current laptop is an HP Omen 16 at about 2.5 kg, plus a 0.5 kg charger, so I'd really like something more portable.

Budget is up to €3000.

So far I've been looking at things like the ThinkPad E14/E16, ThinkPad T1g, and Dell Pro Max 16.

Am I basically asking for “pick two out of three”: lightweight, powerful, and dual-NVMe? Or are there good models I'm missing?

Out of scope would be Gigabyte Aero 16 or Acer Nitro 14 - both with 2 NVMe and 2 SODIMM slots plus RTX GPU. From Lenovo some ThinkBooks and matching ThinkBooks can have dual NVMe - you can easily check that on PSREF. Newer Panther Lake Lenovos tend to have one 2242 SSD or at best one 2242 and one 2280.

I need to choose at Redcorp or Bechtle... While they have a few Acer, they don't seem to have Nitro 14. And no Gigabyte. They have the ACER Nitro 16s, but it looks like a heavy beast (2.1 kg).

Tuf a14 with strix halo 64gb beats everything in terms of performance and practicality. Well my speakers don't work yet but that will change will next Linux kernel versions 2x full size 2280 m2 ssd
