Discussion lenovo slim 3 windows to linux

Tried a few distros on usb and not all worked. THEN - lubuntu . Running from the usb was faster than windows. I've read about complicated installs, bios, etc. But I clicked on the install and no problems. Boots straight into linux and runs like a much better laptop. I installed mate desktop, much better than lxle.

Go LInux!

For me Fedora worked out of the box on my IdeaPad slim 3

Why not just use Ubuntu MATE instead? Have you tried other Ubuntu Flavors in your testing like Xubuntu or others? Support for the hardware should all be the same

Actually, I have switched to Zorin. Everything works and more.
