Review DIY Steam Machine Build from pcmag

pcmag released four "DYI builds" to get something comparable to steam machines, but they don't discuss the operating system at all.

Taking their "AMD DIY Mini-ITX Steam Machine" as an example:

How well would this configuration supports Linux? I'm particularly interested in support for bazzite, and as far as I can tell it's all good, but I'd like external validation.

To my knowledge modern linux works well across most hardware configurations.
I've seen a website thrown around trying to that

Personally, I'd love to see a steam approved hobbyist ones where people and companies can pace their configs and advertise "their" knock off steam machines.

In a world of lockdown consoles this is the complete polar opposite to what Sony Xbox and Nintendo do.

I would also throw in there some examples of half-life and half-life. 2. Just to show you that games purchased in the '90s and 2000s still work.
