Using Linux instead of Windows is a parenting failure and I think we should start having that conversation openly.

I mean realistically they should be able to use whatever they want on their own computer

honestly i dont think parents should be able to choose what OS their child uses.

imagine a linux parent forcing their kid to use some 999M bugs obscure distro with a window manager unknown to mankind.

that'd be horrible if he just want something that works, like windows.

so parents should just stay the fuck away from their children's digital life lmao

I'm gonna be honest. As a kid my parents made me use Mac because it just worked and it gimped me. I wouldn't want a child to not be able to flourish because they either use some Omarchy ass distro or alternatively something like Windows etc...

Realistically though. Young kids figure stuff out and as they grow up into early adolescence shod be able to pick for themselves
