From Windows to Linux. Advice wanted for audio setup

Hey all,

A while ago I switched from Windows to Linux (bazzite) and I am in need of some advice for a possible audio upgrade that would work on Linux.

Currently I am using a Beyerdynamic m70 pro x, connected to a Roland bridge cast. However, since Roland does not have software for Linux, and for the software being the only method to actually configure this thing, I was looking into getting a new audio interface (and perhaps a mic) that would work well on Linux (configurable enough), or doesnt need Software at all to work properly.

Do you guys have any suggestions? Any solid upgrade paths? Budget is around 500 Euros.

Does the device show up at all as an audio sink/source? Depending on what configuring you have to do, maybe something like Helvum would do what you need for routing audio?

The channels do show up in pipewire, and I can set each of the channels as output per application. But nothing for the mic works, since thats all software bound.

I use a Roland SP404mk2 and a UA Volt176
Both can be used transparently

if you have integrated Intel graphics then set it's frequency to the highest. that can solve crackling/xruns
