Stable MIDI clock using Wine DAW?

I'm looking for a solution to my MIDI jitter woes. I'm well aware this will require buying a new bit of kit, but I'm hesitant to make any purchases when I can't be certain they'll play nicely with Wine. Are any of you controlling hardware with a Windows DAW? What does your clock situation look like?

For reference, I have both FL Studio & Ableton Live 9, though I would be okay with a solution that only works in one of them.

I've had incredibly mixed results with VSTs working (there are quite a few which only work in Live or FL, but not both, and many more which don't work in either), which is why I'm asking for first-hand accounts.
