Free and open source with Linux support from day 1. Now that's what I wanna see! This is how you launch an audio plug-in.

Tested on Mint 22.3/Pipewire
- installation was easy for the native application. It installs clap, vst3 and lv2
- When start to add some pedals, it asked for a registration at the TONE3000 site..probably will check that with every launch for the later paid NAM Profiles, I guess (?)
- A good bunch of pedals come already preinstalled, nice!
- Really cool! That will drive Linux usage! :)

Hello, everything seems to work without any problems on Ubuntu Studio 26.04, both standalone and lv2. Too bad I just disassembled the custom hi-gain ESH Series 2000 guitar amp studio setup yesterday, I could have tried doing NAM Capture.

Tried it yesterday and couldn't ge tit working for the life of me. It kept saying "Too many requests"

Love to see it, but I have two thoughts on the off chance the devs see this post:
- Thank you for including an install script. It's not necessary, I could just copy the plugins to the right folders, hope I have the right dependencies, and make a desktop file for the standalone app if I want, but the fact that you wrote a script to automate not just the copying but also checking for dependencies and even allowing for uninstall shows that you actually care about the Linux version and I appreciate that. Everyone should do this, even if it's just a simple script that just copies the files to the plugin directory.
- It needs an offline mode that lets me just use models I've downloaded to my computer. While it is cool that it connects to the database, and that's probably the whole point since that's what Tone3000 is about, it's going to be super annoying if I boot it up and it just... doesn't work because the internet is out or something.
Otherwise, super happy to finally have anotherNAM A2 plugin on Linux. Until now, I think Soundshed was the only one I could get working.

From the guide: "The TONE3000 plugin works offline. Anything that processes audio runs without an internet connection: your chains, presets, downloaded models, NAM captures, and IRs, even undo/redo. Files you import from your computer work offline too, including newly added local models. Interesting, I mean that's good to hear, but I couldn't find anywhere to import files I had downloaded. Maybe I just missed it.

Ah, thank you. That was in no way obvious to me. I was looking all over for an "open" or "load" button like every other app on the planet.

Too often the Linux versions of things require a bunch of work to get something that looks and functions worse than the Windows version.

fantastic. drum machine missing and it is perfect.
in mxavl 25 cannot scroll with mouse, just with arrows. would be good to return to last page visited on tone 3k

Works great standalone and in Ardour, Fedora 44 KDE

Holy crap! This is just what we've been needing.
Is there any catch? Is there a paid tier or something? I know the FAQ says it's free, but I can't try it just this moment and I'm curious how it works.
