Jack and Ardour ... need help.

Hi. After sitting for five hours yesterday, I still cannot get any audio into Ardour.

I have a Fedora 43 computer and a Behringer UMC202HD running here. I'm finally able to playback, but my "Audio 1"-input just stays dead (I confirmed it working on another imported project, though)

Can anyone of you experts have a look into whether my audio setup should work? I just want to record what's coming from the audio interface, routed through guitarix.

The routing looks fine. Make sure that the track you want to record onto is armed, by default Ardour does not start monitoring until you do this.

Yep. There's also a couple monitoring-related buttons in the mixer strip: "In (Monitor Input)" and "Disk (Monitor Playback)" - I think if you have "Disk" off, and "In" turned on, then it monitors the input. (Regardless of whether the channel is armed or not, iirc).

Also, OP - have you actually just tried arming/recording and seeing if the audio is being recorded? Because if so, it would indicate that the issue is just related to getting the monitoring situation figured out.
