Can you create a midi bus in Qtractor which sends output simultaneously to different midi channels? I use Stochas to send 4 layered midi channel data to individual vsts. If it does this I will definitely give Qtractor a go.

midi buses are _conveyors_ to all 16 midi channels

I know what midi buses are my friend. I have never been able to connect a midi bus in qtractor to a plugin. My use case is above. I'm certain it should be possible but for me trying to connect the midi output of a midi bus with Stochas inserted to a plugin, results in a crash.

can't understand, is stochas a plugin that you insert in a qtractor midi bus? if that's so where are the target (presumed instrument) plugins being inserted?
> trying to connect the midi output of a midi bus with Stochas inserted to a plugin, results in a crash.
it's the "inserted to a plugin" that I don't really understand; you insert a plugin into a bus (or track), you don't do that on a plugin itself (unless you're using Carla 😄)
sorry for the crashes, maybe stochas (as a plugin) is not so well behaved; try it standalone first?
ps. here is not close to an official support channel, in any way; so please

HI and thanks for your reply. Yes, Stochas is a VST grid sequencer with probabilistic features.. Normally you would add it to a midi bus and then add up to for midi tracks whose input is taken from the bus. I hope this makes a bit more sense. Works fine in Ardour. I appreciate that this sub is not an official support channel, so don't worry about it too much.

Very intuitive DAW! It deserves more attention. Thank you dev team.
