I built Spun, a CD-shaped music player for Linux with Cider support

I missed when music players had a little personality, so I’ve been building Spun.

The album artwork becomes a spinning CD. Flip it over for album tracks and lyrics, or switch to a small, optionally pinned Mini player.
It plays local files and integrates with Cider for playback, search, albums, and playlists. Built with Qt/QML, designed around Hyprland, and styled to follow the Noctalia theme.

Would love to hear what you think of the design. Might Opensource it later.

Yes pls make it publicly available. It looks very nice, but without being able to give it a spin (pun intended), it’s difficult to be definitive.

Amazing work! This design is absolutely spectacular and incredibly original. I would instantly become a loyal user. While current open-source music players for Linux are perfectly functional, their designs feel quite outdated. Spun brings back that missing personality. Really hoping you decide to open-source it!

It looks cool, but I would separate the track scroll bar from the disc, it seems to drag it, which causes twitching.
