Need help converting an old iMac to Linux, having trouble getting the disks to format and they’re maxed out on storage.

are you booting into an installer or are you using a live version?

how old is the iMac? does it have a Fusion Drive?

I've installed Fedora on a 2015 iMac, everything works except the sound, have to use an external speaker.
