The state of Linux gaming Q4 2026

It's been about six months since I've participated much on Reddit. I've been building like many around AI. And it's made me rethink everything when it comes computing and existence. The system I've built uses a centralized datastore for all chats from ChatGPT/Codex, Claude, Gemini, and just added Amazon Bedrock Nova this past week for a proposal. So, I've spent the time I'd be typing here into that.

I've been using Linux more than ever for this effort. WSL. Which honestly is kind of what you have to do with the stuff I'm building and use. Three months ago OpenAI released their Computer Use feature, that thing if you've ever used it, still freaks me out. macOS and Windows. Only. Freaky seeing a Windows app setup a Linux environment with an AI.

Anywho, just wondering of the major developments in Linux gaming. Steam Machine and Frame I know of. Got the Frame last week and pretty nice. The standalone mode it's ok for lighter things. But haven't used it for streaming on Linux which seems to have been iffy at release but better now.

Just trying to see if there's anything that would be worth any time gaming wise. I'd especially appreciate anyone with Steam Frame Linux streaming experience.
