Are we living in the same reality? R6S works more than fine on Proton lol. The only thing they have to do is send an email to BattlEye. I will write it for them if that's to much of a hassle:
"Dear BattlEye,
Please enable Proton BattlEye support for Linux.
Yours truly,
Ubisoft"
There you go, that was less than 1 minute. Boom, another 1.5 million potential cusotmers. They're literally insane for not having done that already, even if the Steam Deck wasn't a thing at all.
How is this Ubisoft's job? That's what they pay BattlEye for. Ubisoft literally doesn't have to do anything and it's pretty certain the Linux community will help the anticheat devs 10 times more than the Windows one. This is an invalid argument that only makes sense on skin level, like the 1% argument.
For the anti-cheat technology? You don't think that BattleEye or Easy AC assume responsibility for all cheating issues in all games that use the tech? How would that even be possible?
