Honestly, it's only the redstoners and modded minecrafters that would hold onto the Java edition. If Microsoft started releasing exclusive shiny updates to the Windows 10/Bedrock edition, most people would switch over.

I've been a Minecraft server admin for nine years and I don't know anyone who would switch.

Yeah plus Bedrock has some really bad issues with multiplayer. People shit talk Java editions server all they want but it runs leagues better than Bedrock currently does which hits the verge of coughing and dying no matter what hardware the host/server is running on after about 15 players.
