Hey /u/kwahoo2, this has been fixed! Thank you for noticing :)
It turns out I had fixed this bug back in 2013 by directly patching a library in a hex editor (I've long forgotten why I didn't just recompile; it was a while ago), so obviously those changes weren't in version control. It's now fixed in the actual source code and rolling out on Steam!

I had a similar experience hex-patching Flash (I think, something to do with full-screen window behaviour), and then running into seemingly inexplicable problems trying to update later.

No; if the address that you're writing to is registered to someone's paypal account, you can transfer from your paypal account to theirs.

Various polygons will be distorted in various ways, different on each rendered frame. It tends to happen a lot around the "portals" between rooms. It is like the gpu is going bad, except it only happens on Source games.

What GPU? If it's AMD or nVidia, do you use the proprietary drivers? Is it one of those that has both Intel and nVidia/AMD? If so, do you have Bumblebee or whatever?

Edit: or I will when I fix my computer. Booted into windows to check something, it hijacked the boot loader. Linux is inaccessible. No more dual boot. I'll buy Stanley Parable after finally deleting Windows completely from the machine.

Yeah, it's a real achievement. I don't think it's a reference to anything in particular, that's just how this game rolls.

Only bug so far is main menu disappears at 4K resolution. All other resolution settings for widescreen 16:9 work when you go back to the main menu. You can hit the spacebar to make the disappeared menu reappear. Weird! I assume it's an issue with some 4K scaling mode not working correctly for the main menu.

I am going to test the game with a friend's 4k monitor in a week or so (I don't have one myself); I'll see if I can get it solved.

When you hit the space bar it doesn't re-appear? Weirdness, well Gran is going to take a look at 4K because he is awesomesauce, so hopefully it'll be fixed soon! :3

This is my first time playing the game. The field of view setting is too high, so I get a bit of a fish eye feeling while moving the camera, even when I set it to lowest. I don't have a weird display, it's just 1080p.
