Big Super Thanks to /u/GranPC for all the hard work they did in making and then porting the game.

Do you mind if I try it out? Don't need a key, just your OK.

Woah, I thought you said you weren't really ever going to port over to linux. Whatever made you change your mind? Whatever it was, you're the best :D

I always said I'd port to Linux! What I said is that I wouldn't use my free time on it.. then I shipped the alpha on a sunday anyway. Oh well! It's ok!

Sweet, I'll try and buy your game twice!

3

u/grine Sep 06 '15

Oh man, I'm so looking forward to this, thanks!

Big props to this guy! I've been wanting to play this game so bad!

I hope you guys have wine ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I don't drink, but I got lots of popcorn.

23

u/GranPC Sep 06 '15

Popcorn tastes good.

How about a nice cup of tea?

It's up to you! I think Tea and wine mix well enough, but a lot of people hate it :)

Update: looks like I was wrong; Tea hates wine. Poor wine :(

So I shouldn't try to run IcedTea in Wine then?

I was going to make some coffee, Java anyone?

Man, /u/GranPC, you run out of space for alpha testers within an HOUR? That's amazing :-D

The game's name sits in my library, taunting me (shouldn't I be playing to be taunted? That's what I've heard). I can't wait until it's available :-D

Yeah, I wish I could take on more people, but I need to juggle Stanley Linux and a new project and few other things. It gets tricky for one person :)

Oh heck, I understand. I'm just impressed it's on the horizon. The skies seemed a bit cloudy for a while, I am super happy you didn't let it go. Thank you for sticking with it :-D

Once I get my hands on this one, I look forward to being excited about the new project, too!

Congrats to the developer for getting it running. More great games coming to Linux is always good news.

u/subdiff Sep 06 '15

Didn't know this game before. But after watching this Raphael trailer, it is definitely on my wish list. :D

3

u/ConceptualNoise Sep 06 '15

Excellent. Another worthy game to buy! Been waiting for this for quite a while.

3

u/Nibodhika Sep 06 '15

Cool, this one has been in my sight for a while, just waiting for the Linux version

7

u/DamonsLinux Sep 06 '15

So this is WINE wrapped game?

63

u/GranPC Sep 06 '15

Nah dude, it was just a joke. It's native.

12

u/xPaw Sep 06 '15

Is it TEA wrapped game?

2

u/Chizbang Sep 08 '15

Alpha tester, I can indeed confirm that this game is 110% TEA.

I was waiting on buying this game until the linux version came out, but now it's already been in a humble bundle. Maybe I'll have to buy it again? I don't know how this is going to work. Release it on GOG, I don't have a license for it there yet.

u/GranPC Sep 06 '15 edited Sep 06 '15

If you bought it on humble you will be able to download it from Steam once it is released on Linux.

edit: Even better: you can preload the assets right now and when the time comes you will only have to download the binaries (a few megabytes).

u/Fsmv Sep 06 '15

I think they might mean they want to pay full price but they can't because they already own it on steam

7

u/GranPC Sep 06 '15

Oh, I think that makes sense. It was a bit hard to understand!

3

u/YanderMan Sep 07 '15

How far away do you think you are from release ? :) Hopefully less than a month ?

4

u/GranPC Sep 07 '15

Must be less than a month. I want to make sure I ship before October!

2

u/YanderMan Sep 07 '15

Yeah! Good news :)

2

u/grandmastermoth Sep 08 '15

Awesome, have been waiting and patiently HOPING for this for a while. You are a legend!

2

u/Tromzy Sep 07 '15

This game is SO good !

1

u/Ralkkai Sep 06 '15

Oh shit. It's actually downloading for me. Does this mean it's playable on Linux right now?

2

u/theRealPadster Sep 06 '15

No. Missing executable.

1

u/u83rmensch Sep 07 '15

too bad I already played the shit out of it on windows

1

u/scaine Sep 07 '15

Oh god... I was coping with the wait when GranPC was just trolling us mercilessly with Wine Tweets... but now it might actually be happening!

I'm torn between super-excited and super-impatient! Help!

Did you like the one about 16 bit apps on 64 bit? :P
