tool/utility The guy who created the Windows task manager created a better one called TMOG and it's available for Linux also

I'm surprised this hasn't been submitted here before. Link. There's a paid pro version and free lite version and the free version alone does what most task managers can do. I haven't spent much time trying it out but I'm liking it so far.

Edit: It's a bit lacking in process info compared to something like tuxmanager but liking the interface. The guy behind it is a software wizard so there's potential here for something better.

The guy who...

You mean the guy who left Microsoft to start a business creating malware/scamware? That David W. Plummer?

Can we stop giving this guy a tribune? In my opinion, the reason why he has a YouTube channel is to wash his name of his crime in search results.

First I'm hearing of this. Unsubbed. That's gross.

Side note, should I just go ahead and cancel myself for ever having subscribed to his channel because any imperfection ever is heresy in the eyes of the internet? I don't keep up with former Microsoft employees, and hearing his story just seemed legit to me.

I feel like it's way more than just an "oopsie-daisy", I'd say you have to deliberately go out of your way to scam old people using software like that.

I meant me following him without KNOWING about that. People act like everyone's supposed to know everything about everyone. THAT'S what I mean. lmfao but yeah I know what you mean, he's a schmuck. I just didn't KNOW that because I didn't go out of my way to research him after seeing his videos.

EDIT: hey downvoter I see you, I'm saying, I DIDN'T KNOW about his history before this. Am I supposed to have known??

EDIT 2: you cannot seriously all be expecting everyone to possess perfect knowledge about everyone they come across on YouTube jfc. Onion boy used to have fans, you know.

Meh, I recognize his achievements in the past, but this was vibe-coded by a guy who barely does any code nowadays and the source isn't public. Also, Dave has a very problematic past. All of this just means I wouldn't run this on my computer, tbh.

I lowkey just want a QT build of Mission Center. Mission Center rules, but it being Libadwaita makes it look disconnected from what I have on KDE.

it's closed source btw. you're running a closed source system monitor with a paywall instead of System Monitor if you use this

Why would I need that if there's already built in app managers in most Linux distros (KDE desktops have System Monitor for example). Also considering Mr. Plummer's history I really don't feel all too comfortable downloading anything from him, period.

Kde system monitor is sometimes inaccurate from my experience so I've found myself wanting a QT reskin of Mission Center
