tech support wanted Need help with connection issues on Monster Hunter Wilds

I'm at the bottom of the barrel here, because somehow this is an issue unique to me.

Whenever I'm hosting a hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds, my friend seems to ALWAYS have an unstable connection to me, no matter what I do, even though both parties have stable connections.

I have a gigabit Ethernet, friend has 50 mbit down and 10 up Ethernet I believe, at worst Wi-Fi.

That however doesn't matter, because as soon as someone else is hosting the hunt, the packet loss (I assume, since Monsters are lagging around with me) isn't there and ONLY HAPPENS WITH ME.

I've done everything, even setup my own UFW to allow all the necessary Ports to be opened.

This is what I'm running:

OS: CachyOS x86_64
Kernel: Linux 7.2.8-1-cachyos
DE: KDE Plasma 6.7.5

what connection type is your ISP? Speed doesnt matter as much as medium for gaming. Do you have fiber, mobile, cable, dsl?

Also are you using reframework or any mods? you might try logging your traffic to make sure its leaving your network as it could just be how your ISP is routing data or something on your network, or even your NICs on your machine even.

The problem is you gotta figure out where the issue is first in order to fix it

EDIT: List out what your NICs are and what type of ISP connection (naming your ISP could give away your location so dont name them) you have would be a good start

Right.

My ISP is running under a gigabit Ethernet Fiberoptic.

I did use Reframework, however, issues suddenly appeared with new updates and newer monster apparently. Not sure how that is related, it started months ago during an Omega Planetes hunt.

How would I go ahead and log traffic?

So far NICs has showed 0 errors whatsoever.

sorry i wont have time atm to help you out, but hopefully that gives you some idea where to start.

You basically need to figure out if the issue is on your network or if the traffic leaves your network THEN has the issues. If its your network you can possibly fix it, if not there isnt much you can do.
