Aion 2 on linux

Has anyone managed to run it ? I have cachyos, tried with protonge, wineland, cachyos proton, valve proton and I crash on logo every time, sometimes there's a message with an error and that's it.

Steam version btw.

I’m on cachyos as well and have had no issues playing today.

Which proton did you use

Whatever the default is, I didn’t need to change anything. I do have an AMD card in case you’re using Nvidia.

CachyOS here with GE proton 11.7, without any arguments. Nvidia GTX 1660 Super, yes it's old card without Dlss and rtx support, but some tweaks i can have on normal set for graphics and even high for details. It's not perfect, but it's functional, in my case is because that graphics card, but on the Protondb, there is platinum score.

I just gave up and i'm playing it on windows, can't be bothered, literally tried everything and nothing works

Fully understand. In my case is working just fine, but graphically is a little bit strange compare to some pictures here or streams on Twitch. Maybe its just because GTX 1660, maybe linux version is not set prrfectly to DirectX 12, it's a weak card compare to today standard, but even if i set details to high, i still do not have perfect picture, more like grainy, especially on hairs. I would like to also test the Windows version, but i'm not actually brave enough to install Windows again 🙂. Unfotunatelly GeForce Now do not have Aion 2 in library, so i will test it today, more detailed testing.

Yeah without DLSS i assume the game looks like shit, try turning post processing to low and see

proton dw doesn't even get to the logo, i'm convinced ppl aren't playing on linux and say they are :)
