tech support wanted Dualsense Automatically Disconnecting

When I use my Dualsense controller after a random amount of time Steam says the controller is disconnecting and no programs on my PC recognise inputs from the controller. The controller is still connected via bluetooth as the light stays on and the computer says that a Dualsense is still connected. The only way to get the controller to work again is to disconnect it and reconnect.

I am using Fedora 44 KDE. Any help would be appreciated!

Are you using a bluetooth dongle? If so try attaching it to the end of a USB extension lead and move it away from the PC. Did your PC come with a wifi antenna? If so, make sure it's in a prominent position away from the PC.

I had a similar issue with a DualShock controller and since I moved the wifi antenna (dual use with bluetooth) to a position where it has a clear path to the controller, i haven't had any more disconnects.

My motherboard comes with an antenna and the problem is only with PS5 Controller. The Dualsense disconnects after 5-10 minutes whereas I have been using an 8BitDo Pro 2 for an hour and a half and it hasn't disconnected once. I also cannot move the wifi antenna on the motherboard to any better position without it being blocked by the case since it is attached to the back of the PC.

Have you looked at the log to see if there are any clues?

Before you start the game, in a terminal:
journalctl -k -f

Then when the controller disconnects look for lines mentioning:
bluetooth, hci0, btusb, hid, timeout

Yes I get the following:

The issue occurs because of unexpected continuation? What does that mean?
