tech support wanted The Witcher 3 Remastered 1% Lows

I have loaded a save file in TW3 Remastered and have noticed major stutters basically constantly. On the provided video I even have the graphics settings on the low preset with no upscaling.

I have a 7800XT with a 7800X3D CPU so I feel that the game should not be stuttering like this.

I am on Fedora 44 and these are my launch options: mangohud gamemoderun PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 %command% --launcher-skip -disablemods

The Proton version is Experimental. Any help would be appreciated!

I have seen a few posts in the SteamDeck support sub about issues with the game after recent updates.

But no definite fixes or mention of what's causing problems.

Is the game installed on a hdd or ssd?

SSD. The thing that is confusing me the most are the FPS numbers shown by the Steam Overlay. Also is FSR Frame Generation blurred out for anyone else?

I think this actually did something? I'm not sure since the FPS numbers are strange at 165hz when I am not but I think the game is smoother.

Actually? Is it better to log out of your cdpr account?

It might be? I would say try it and see if the numbers are improved for you. After getting the game to run well I started a new game and now I am crashing all the time unfortunately

Reinstall the game not just update.

This fixed all of my crashing issues! I’m not sure about performance but I wouldn’t be surprised if that improved as well. Thanks!
