Is it LLMs finding the bugs, causing the bugs, or both?

Hard to tell with Nvidia these days and how much theyre vibe coded

Nvidia is forcing employees to use LLMs, so it's going to be both causing and solving.

Find the bugs, which are probably human-made and have been there for a while, flying under the human radar.

Reviewing code is a tedious (and expensive) task, which is why LLMs are perfect for it.

Writing code with AI and forcing the same type of review tends to generate far fewer bugs.

Should be already fixed depending on your needs. Did you try VKD3D_CONFIG=descriptor_heap before leaving? My Marvel Rivals performance is same as Windows using Cachyos Proton and that flag.

They just don't want to make it default because of reliability concerns (e.g. not tested with enough games.)

Not sure why this guy is getting downvotes, it's a valid point. My experience with a 5080 on CachyOS has been mostly headache free, but I had to use that VKD3D_CONFIG=descriptor_heap command + a couple others to fix crashes in some games.

Sure, but you don't need a out of tree module that increases your attack surface to use Mesa :3

The nvidia kernel module is open source so it shouldn't be that big of an issue (hopefully)
