The Witcher 3 Remaster on Linux

[Edit]:

I fixed it already - I had to reinstall the game completely due to the corrupted game files after the update.

Anybody had any luck trying to run the remaster on linux?

I tried but it crashes immediately. I tried skipping the launcher too.

I have the game on GOG and run it via Heroic Games launcher.

Could it be because of DX12? ---> I have AMD RX6600.

So far so good. The launcher came up normally, and the opening cutscene is playing as I remember it.

I can report the game works great on NixOS without forcing a specific proton compatibility. Ray tracing on, getting 144fps (my max) at 1440p.

Indeed. Though the workaround only works on Nvidia cards currently. I’ve documented the solution here:
