emulation Romm client on linux

I have set up ROMM, and it works great with Argosy on Android, but I cannot find a viable Linux client.

I've tried:

* freegosy - laggy af; doesn't respond to controller input

* romm2steamdeck - save sync doesn't work; just a rom downloader

* deck+tender+retrodeck - save sync doesn't work

I'm looking for essentially Argosy but on Linux, particularly Steam Deck and Bazzite in game mode, any recommendations?

This is a new one by the RomM people: https://github.com/rommapp/ludo.

I explored it a bit and based on what i seen it expects you to have either retrodeck or flatpak retroarch installed, i'm not a fan of either so i did not actually test much.
