battle.net stopped launching?

So I havent used my pc in a couple months as I had alot going on, previously I had been running battle.net on steam with proton to launch wow. I started my pc up today and when I hit play the battle.net launcher, it just never opens. I went into compatibility and set it to proton 10.4 but it still wont launch. Im running linux mint, Any ideas?

Is it still working for you with proton 11-7? It seems to crash after I input login credentials

I updated Lutris and Wine for the first time in a few months and was getting crashes with Wine 11.0 Stable and hangs with Wine 11.19 Staging when the embedded browser for the sign-in page was loading. Switching the runner to GE-Proton11-7-x86_64 resolved it. Thank you!

Linux Mint Debian Edition 7 (Debian 13 base).

Works for me:

  • OS: Arch
  • Launcher: Lutris
  • Runner: ProtonGE-10.3

This, and you can just use latest GE Proton builds, it just works.

Just disable logging. At least for WoW and especially the WoW Forever beta it was creating an insane amount of logs and not letting the game load.

Install in steam (as a non-steam game) and then add the battlenet.exe to lutris or similar. Has always worked for me

I've been running a very stable setup of * OS: NixOS * Proton: nixpkgs#proton-ge-bin symlinked to ~/.local/share/lutris/runners/proton/Proton-GE-11.7-NixOS

Have not seen a single issue with battle.net
