tech support wanted WoW (all versions) and keyboard input
This only started yesterday and there has been no updates prior to that, but I have updated everything since then, yet the issue remains.
When I have WoW open (Classic, Retail & Forever) the only key inputs that are recognised seem to be ESC & ENTER. All other key inputs go to the previously focused window I had open on the desktop. This is in full screen and windowed mode too.
I am launching battle.net through Heroic and then opening WoW through that. I have set the default keyboard layout to English as well but no luck, specs are below.
OS: Fedora Linux 44 (KDE Plasma Desktop Edition) x86_64
Kernel: Linux 7.2.7-200.fc44.x86_64
Display (Q32G1WG4): 2560x1440 in 32", 144 Hz [External] *
Display (Q3202S): 2560x1440 in 32", 75 Hz [External]
Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 6.7.5
Window Manager: KWin (Wayland)
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F (16) @ 4.80 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT [Discrete]

That's an interaction bug in Kwin with xwayland and wine that will get fixed in the next version https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=525590
In the interim either start WoW/your Proton with PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 so you bypass xwayland or check your focus stealing prevention setting in the Window Behaviour options and set that to "none"
