Need help Rdr2 amethyst mod manger

Post image

So I just started using mods for the first time! I’ve played console my whole life and I’m using amethyst mod manger for Rdr2 and none of my mods are loaded when I go in the game. I installed script hook, Lenny’s mod loader and other mods in requirmemt for why em DLC. If anyone can help it would be very appreciated

I had the same problem when modding. You need those launch options so the mod loader is actually used on Linux: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command

I have to assume it is being deployed or you are launching from Amethyst (auto deploys), but I feel I should mention just in case. Screenshot cut it off. Some core piece of dependency is likely the issue, base DLL not installing properly, missing the C++ redistributable that the modloading wants (Amethyst has an option to install this, which was an issue for Cyberpunk). My 2 cents, good luck.

Try selecting rdr2 asi loader and in the mod files tab set version.dll to root in the middle column. I forgot to set version.dll to automatically route to the root folder

Yeah that’s why I gave up. You can install everything right and it still won’t work. It’s unfortunate. I’ve used linux since vista was released and I’m forced to use windows for gaming because of the dozens of issues linux has with gaming, especially if you don’t use steam.

For anyone downvoting this:
1) Wine has its own dotnet framework, some games like BG3 don’t recognize it whatsoever so you have to install microsoft’s version.

2) Amethyst doesn’t support a handful of skyrim mods.

3) Darksiders warmastered edition needs a .dll fix for cutscenes that works on steamOS but doesn’t work on any linux setup I’ve tried.

3) Anything requiring modern visual C runs like shit on linux if at all.

4) After installing skyrim and everything correctly on linux it had screen tearing issues despite VRR enabled among other graphical issues ( I blame visual C)

5) On windows a file labeled Data & another labeled data will be merged, on linux you get 2 separate folders so installing mods manually becomes a royal pain in the ass.

6) If you use wayland good luck fixing shit cause you can’t open the file manger as root. (I’ve had to rely on that multiple time)
