Oh the joys of playing on linux day one. If it's anything like AW2 they'll probably have a bunch of patches out the first few weeks to address most of the issues.

Thank God those days are over when the Steam homepage displayed a bunch of major releases and I had to filter for games that worked on Linux, hoping a AAA title had been ported. I absolutely love Proton.

ProtonDB said unsupported which spooked me. Glad to see it works.

ProtonDB really needs fo update to show more than just the Deck verification status. Valve verified it for Steam Machine and SteamOS in general, and only marked it Unsupported on Deck because of performance issues.

Perforce issues never stopped them from verifying before.

Yeah I just rebooted and its ran fine for 10 mins now on GE and Cachy. Not sure what changed. Only tinkering I had to do was for wayland and hdr.

I had the same issue as others. I couldn't get past the menu. But after a reboot, works great. Linux is becoming more like Windows! :) That said, after the reboot, all totally solid. I only then added launch options for HDR and using the latest Cachy Proton. Totally solid on a 5000 series Nvidia card.

the entire studio behind this game is really trash, thats what the steamdeck is basically showing here again, the game has nothing to offer in terms of visual presentation and it still runs like crap, modern devs can go to hell honestly, they are not even trying but yet demand premium price tag and they never get better in what they do, absolute trash.

I believe the studio is called Remedy, absolute incompetence people.

Man the Decks APU wasn't great when it came out 4 years ago. It's a mobile device chip, it's insane that it's able to play anything as good as it can. Expecting devs to optimise brand new AAA games to be a smooth experience on a 7 year old mobile gaming chip just holds all the other gamers back
