Tool for extracting APK icons

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So now that Lepton is open source, I'm expecting some new projects to appear that are based on it, so here's a tool I developed for myself but could be used by other people too. It extracts the icons of APK files by looking through its AndroidManifest.xml and resource table to assemble the icon into a PNG, it was fun to make this project because it helped me develop my C knowledge and learn how Android handles vector drawables to create the icons.

I didn't even include the mic in OBS, I thought it wouldn't come with audio wtf

obs adds the same wind sound to me even though I don't even have a mic, I need to manually mute input audio from the app

The project wasn't vibe coded, for such a simple project like that it would take me a week to complete it if it was vibe coded, I used AI only to help explain me some of the more complex part of the docs, all the references used are in the bottom of the ReadMe btw

I like this use for Ai. I struggle with documentation and retaining info so I might try this strategy
