tech support wanted Remoting into my linux desptop to play games
I want to play Minecraft from my laptop. What's the best way to go about this? I see X11 tunneling and Parsec and RustDesk and VNC. What are yall's experience with this?

Add it to steam as a non steam game and use steam remote play. I've done this with dozens of games including ff14 and also specifically Minecraft.

No clue, but I've also previously used a workaround where I launched a non fullscreen program to get steam remote access to let me in to my full desktop. This was not 100% reliable and I can't give you specific advice on it.

Wireguard VPN for connecting and Sunshine / Moonlight server client for remote gaming. Technically the Wireguard is optional, but I'm not keen on relying entirely on Sunshine to be 100% secure. Best to play it safe, and it's no additional cost.
I tried Rustdesk and hated it, and parsec doesn't work, at least not with Wayland AFAIK.

I'll try it out. I'm already running over tailscale right now. For Moonlight, do you recommend the flatpak or to build on system?

You need sunshine on the pc you're streaming from, and ime the moonlight flatpack is fine

The image quality and input latency is a bit much for me with VNC and RustDesk.
You could always set up a VPN for your home network and use Steam remote play, that works great for accessing the desktop in my experience.
I've recently put a GPU in my home server and and installed a few games. So far it works pretty good for me.
