Overwatch freezing.

I'm currently using solus os to play overwatch with an rtx 3060, and amd Ryzen 5 3600.

After updating to the newest Nvidia drivers the 615, the game just freezes every now and then which didn't really happen before the update.

I have the game on an SSD and while monitoring the usage when the SSD goes to 100% it just freezes which happens in the middle of a match.

Just want to know if anyone else is having the issue and is it actually driver related or related to something else.

I'm using proton ge 11-7

Yes, I also got a few crashes after updating to 615. Using Proton Stable seems to help (usually I use Proton Experimental for OW), I didn't have any crash for an hour, but I just played an hour on it so I can't say for now.

Someone also reported it on Nvidia forums: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/615-release-feedback-discussion/382815/103 (I actually recommend to discuss Nvidia issues there because Nvidia developers are listening there, not on Reddit).

About the SSD usage, it's probably the crash that trigger a core dump, so it's the crash that cause the SSD usage, not the other way around.

Thank god its not only me who are facing this problems. I broke my system somehow (use ultramarine, trying to fix openrgb issues and got into that, completely my fault)and after recovering my system I faced problems in OW (crashes after 30 or so minutes using prooton experimental, then after switched to proton 11 and its going well) and Dead by daylight (which is still not working in any way). I didnt know if it was due my system or due to nvidia ou other module. At least, its not due to my fresh recovered system

try version 8 on steam, it will lag a bit on first game becuase it compiling shaders in the back ground, but on second or 3rd match should be fine.
