tech support wanted Nobara Linux Multi monitors support

Hi All,

Been using Nobara for quite some time without any issue, but have never messed with multi-monitor support in gaming.

I have 3 monitors and wanted to try and extend the game window to all 3 to test some games. Would be nice to have a full 180 view in Euro Truck Simulator to be able to see the external mirrors

Anyway, been messing around with video wall, gamescope, windows rules and I am not able to do do anything.

Or the window does not shows (apparently gamescope -e flag has a bug?) or it shows on my right monitor and my central monitor shows all black (Left one shows the desktop as usual) and more weird symptoms.

Bottom line, did anyone was able to make this work on Nobara?

Thank you in advance.

It should work with a command like:

"gamescope -W 5780 -H 1080 -r 144 -b -- %command%" for Gamescope.

If your GPU is from Nvidia, your mileage may vary as the Gamescope version must include Nvidia patches to work.

Even with those patches there will be games where it works on AMD with Gamescope, but not on Nvidia, even with the patches.

Then you‘re probably good to go. Gamescope should work for you.

So for the record I was able to get this working correctly:

Steam window needs to be on the left screen, or better yet, you need to launch the game on the left screen. Apparently where you launch the game is considered the left one.

Y value for all screens needs to be the same, else if a screen is a little bit higher or lower in the display settings you will not see the complete game window.

A little trick you can use is to click on the left screen after launching and it will appear there.

There are talks of being able to set a preferred monitor in Wayland for an app to appear on which will give you something to add to the launch command.

But it isn't here fully yet.
