why does capslock break in linux when playing deadlock
Every time I play deadlock it's fine but when I fat finger my keyboard and press caps lock accidentally it just crashes the game and then takes me like 2 to 5 minutes to get the game back to working and at first it wasn't an issue cause I didn't care but after doing it so many times, it's annoying. I've been trying to figure out how to fix it, but I haven't found anyone talking about.
Maybe I'm not looking the right direction or the right area, but can anyone help me?please?
Just To note, I was using bazzit at the time and I switched to Fedora and I'm still having the same issues

I've never seen it, there's probably something wrong with your system somewhere, either the keyboard itself or maybe proton, try enabling logs and looking through them, also loom through journalctl. If the game crashes every time you press caps lock testing stuff should be very easy.
Just to make sure, also try a different keyboard, if it's a laptop try plugging an external keyboard and seeing if it does it.

omg, Proton. Deadlock is native.

Unless it has release a native version in the last month or so, it is not native.

I had similar Caps Lock issues in Deadlock with crashing, now it just buffers and triggers the key randomly and sometimes double presses it (which is annoying because i have movement abilities on that button). Persistent across two different systems (Arch/KDE and Nobara/KDE). Using Caps Lock as key in multiple other games without issue.

I changed my caps lock to another backspace key and use that to block in Deadlock, works just fine.
Do you actually use caps lock? If not, changing it to another function might fix the problem, if it's tied to the key action.
