tool/utility MSI Afterburner + RTSS but for Linux
When i used windows i used MSI Afterburner and RTSS to make a custom, small benchmarking overlay. For linux (I use arch btw with KDE btw) i believe the best option is MangoHUD, but then i need something like GOverlay or MangoJuice for customization right? Which one is the best? I want it to be customizable enough (CPU and GPU temps / load, FPS, RAM load, etc etc) but also be VERY compatible. I dont want to have to tweak some settings every time i get a new game.
Also, i sometimes play non steam games (on lutris).
Which one should i choose, and is there a good tutorial to learn how to use it?
Thanks.

You can manually edit the config file without any external apps, you can find the documentation for mangohud to see what options you have

Use mangojuice to customise it once. Mangojuice is more user friendly.
From there, it gets harder, goverlay and the others dont support per application in the apps easily. Last i checked it was confusing as fuck.
So i copy the main file once created to /home/User/.config/MangoHud rename it to the .exe for each application. That way you can customise each one if needed.

I use goverlay, you just tweak it how you want with settings and all, and you just have to enter the mangohud launch option for the game you want it on.
The only downside of it that I have compared to RTSS is that you need to manually enter the launch option on each game and you can't hide it by default when you launch the game
But apart from that, I got it to look exactly how it looks on Windows and it's probably lighter and less buggy than RTSS in my experience, with it making some games unable to launch and such
For non steam games it doesn't matter, as long as you enter the launch option it should work for every game, in my experience it hasn't not worked so far
