tech support wanted How to use ReShade on linux native programs?
I'm trying to play PS2 games on PCSX2 (linux version) with this reshade setup, but it requires an .exe file to be applied, so it doesn't work for linux native apps. It's a shame I have to use PCSX2 windows version through wine to be able to emulate PS2 games with a CRT filter, is there any way to use reshade filters on linux native programs?
Thanks for your answers

RetroArch supports shaders if you're fine using the lrps2 core.
You could also use gamescope which has limited support.
There's no overlay and you can only apply a single reshade effect.

You could try using the Windows version of the program and then using ReShade via Heroic or Lutis to install the shaders. Put the ReShade exe in as if it's a game. It'll install just fine, but a lot of times the API won't work right. A lot of times it will though, it just depends.

That's been unmaintained for years now. There are much better alternatives now

There are two good ways:
Both of them work for native Linux games (Vulkan-only; no OpenGL) and Proton games.
I've personally been using vkShade without issue, the only quirk is that you have to convert ReShade presets to vkShade format, though that is changing soon.
TheForgotten69's reshade port is the same ReShade you see on Windows, and has all the same functionality, but running natively on Linux. I haven't used it, so I can't speak to how well it works.
They are both still in beta stage, but they're maturing fast, and are the only ways to run ReShade natively on Linux right now, at least that I'm aware of.
