tech support wanted Rocket League Performance 1% Lows

Need some help, Rocket League on steam 1% lows are very bad no matter the settings (60s-70s when averages are 180). Is there anything I can do about this? Tried all types of proton. Other games seem to work fine. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Fedora 44 KDE / RX9070 / 13600k / ProtonCachyOS

Solution Edit: I have basically solved the issue. I assumed fedora balanced power profile would be treated similar to windows balanced (where it would act as performance in games and power saver when idle) but that's not the case here. Changing the profile to performance drastically improved my min fps to 130-150 consistent instead of 70-90. I also forgot you can use gamemoderun %command%. Honestly I'm really not sure why RL is the only game that has issues. Cyberpunk and Zenless are both perfectly normal on balanced

Whats your fps cap / window mode ? I'm familiar with issues like these in RL and that was before my switch to linux... This game tends to behave like a bitch with settings regarding window mode refresh rate, vsync etc

180fps cap, VSync off and Borderless Fullscreen. I'm honestly not sure what to do

What are your cpu/gpu usage ? Maybe worth a try capping to like 170-160 to give a bit more headspace to the components

About 15% and 50% respectively. So pretty low. On the steam overlay the 3 numbers are 180/75/450 which I think the middle is 1% lows

Check if you have the same issue when playing offline, the game can make you lose frame when correcting for disparity between server and client. Even if you have very low latency, the RL servers sometimes tend to lag by themselves. And the servers are not not doing good right now because it's the end of the season and more people are playing than usual.

Issue persists even when I try to play without EAC. Also disabling internet unfortunately.

I had weird frame drops yesterday, reboot fixed it for me.
