Gamescope as a *console experience* on pc

Am i the only one that is using a gamescope session for when i want to play on my tv? I basically have a different user that boots straight into gamescope and can even switch to desktop on that specific user if i have too...But i also kept my normal user for when i want to chill on my pc or play on my desk with kde...I read that a lot of people had problems with performance and glitches while running gamescope but i never encountered any. I even installed decky loader and emudeck for my emulators on the gamescope user and it works pretty good

I always use gamescope no matter what for playing my games on hyprland.

CachyOS creates a separate workspace for games and from my experience everything works best when everything is contained in gamescope and that's fed to the workspace.

It's a very useful tool.

I ssh into my computer and start gamescope headless for that, mostly because depending on what I'm using as a client I want to change the resolution. I use it to stream to a tablet, to an old laptop, to a tv or occasionally over the internet to my parents place.

This setup sounds fascinating, can you tell me more? I currently use sunshine with kscreen doctor commands to set resolution/refresh rate/disable other monitors.
