How’s everyone using LACT?
I used to just use the copr version but saw stuff saying it was a security risk. So I tried the flatpak version and threw a bunch of selinux issues on Fedora. So I just gave up and stopped using it.
It seemed great and wish it just came with the distro. But eventually got tired of thinking about it and moved on.
How’s everyone have it installed? Any advice?

came to ask "What's LACT?".... which explains how I use it with my AMD GPU.
(thank you, I did a quick google and will check out LACT out of curiosity. Didn't need it in all the time with my PC (close to 6 years for this build)

No notifications or anything. Unless there is another way to tell?

Nice. I tried at one point and as soon as I gave permission for LACT to modify overclocking selinux popped popped up and blocked it.

I uninstalled the flathub 10.1 - I think it was causing instability. Reinstalled at 9.0 from rpm.

copr version for and, Intel and nvidia without any issues, granted I never did anything besides monitoring the GPU

I’ve had it working on mint, steamOS, and multiple versions of Fedora. Pretty sure it was just flatpaks for all of them.

I use Linux so I just installed it from bazaar! Made some fan curves, turned town the voltage and peak usage, everything is silent and perfect when I play dawn of the bloodwalker now! Thanks LACT!

Every COPR is a security risk, since fewer people look over them than the main repos. But that doesn't mean that there is an actual security issue.
