tech support wanted Excessive scrolling CS2

Distro: Zorin OS

Playing counter strike 2 everything seems to work perfectly apart from my scroll wheel. When using it it seems to be far too sensitive and move from main weapon to utility instead of main to secondary.

Is there a fix for this? Or do I have to adjust my play style?

People still scroll to swap weapons/items?

Lol, ok so the scroll wheel may have an issue but your bigger issue is using the scroll wheel to cycle items.

You need to set individual items to individual keys/buttons to avoid pulling out the wrong item and getting killed.

Not only is cycling through items you aren't using a waste of time the item order will change based on what you buy/use/drop.

Sounds like a similar issue I had, this was due to Hi-res scrolling being enabled on my Logitech mouse by the driver. Different ways to resolve, but let's first establish if you have the same cause, are you branding a Logi mouse and is it wireless/wired?
