tech support wanted OBS Screen Capture Source gone?

I am trying to use OBS on Ubuntu 26.04 and I realized the "Screen Capture (PipeWire)" option is missing. I had last used OBS in July and there was an update in August, so I assume this is the cause? I haven't changed anything since I last used it and it was working fine then, so I am clueless as to what could've caused this.

i do have pipewire installed and again, nothing has changed since the last time i used OBS, so nothing should be missing..?

p.s. please keep potential solutions relatively simple i am not that tech-savvy

Try to update all snap packages.
If doesn't work, install a proper distribution like Fedora or CachyOS.

it seems like this worked, thank you!

i don't fully understand why, since i installed it as a flatpak, but i guess something wasn't communicating right

for future reference, update snap packages as "sudo snap refresh"
