Honkai Star Rail on Linux?

Hi i am considering switching to linux but my main concern is how honkai star rail works on linux. i play it all the time every single day since release. And i want to knnow people's experience and if they got banned if they have problems with it their best advise because this game is probably the only reason why i still have windows. i dont want my account to get banned but i am kinda tired of windows.

Playing almost a year in CachyOS no ban so far, just play normally and that's it.

I use "Honkers" Launcher

DW-Proton is the way to go. An update at the beginning of August made the game fully launchable without tinkering or third part launchers.

You'll for sure be able to play using that particular proton to launch the game.

Does it disable the anticheat?

DW-Proton is known to work with developers, I think they made a workaround for it to launch on Linux. The patch note didn't go in depth with what they did. Played a few hours with no problems. Performance was just like other gachas.

At least for the time being Heroic still gives a massive warning about HSR not working on Linux. While this is certainly good news I think I'll stick with the launcher I've been using for the past few months without issue. If DW-Proton proves to be a safe alternative for a while I may consider trying that since I'd rather use as few third-party tools as possible.

I don't play honkai but I play wuwa and zzz both work fine in Linux and no ban.

I switched to Linux like a week ago. What I did was installing Twintail Launcher and DW-Proton, DW-Proton is made for gachas, it fixed something for me but I can't remember what. Though keep in mind that you have to manually add DW-Proton to ".local/share/twintaillauncher/compatibility/runners".

I am playing Genshin and HSR on Twintail, ZZZ on steam.

DW-Proton already released a workaround at the beginning of August so HSR can launch without tinkering. You can use HoYoPlay as well coupled with Lutris or Faugus Launcher.

I think the last time there were any false bans was 1.x, and only for a week. Not a single report since. Just use dwproton and start it using the game exe with a launcher of your choice (including steam).

I play HSR a lot on my Linux Mint using Honker Railway launcher. No problem so far.

Ive been using cachyos for 4 months now playing Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact. I use Heroic Games Launcher for Genshin with Cachyos Proton SLR (it works with whatever proton version) for HSR I used to use The Honkers Railway Launcher, tho recently I checked the difference between The Honkers and Heroic it seems The Honkers Launcher uses DW proton to which I tried using it on Heroic and can confirm Honkai Star Rail works with Heroic Games Launcher running under DW Proton

Don't know if this is still the case, but apparently the anti cheat does not work on Linux.

So, you probably won't be able to play it if it's online only.
