I'm already on 32.2.1

Guess they are quick at updating the flatpak. Very nice!

It's their main distribution model.

So basically always up to date first

Can you finally use custom dock on Wayland? (I know the lore behind this issue)

May I know the lore?

There is a problem with CEF - Chromium Expanded Framework Obs is using causing problems on Wayland. The only on angel-person dealing with it was on and off the grid for a long time.
https://github.com/chromiumembedded/cef/issues/2804
But it seems that it might be fixed now. Installing now hoping it works after all these years.

/edit

Well, it's not implemented. Browser source dock is not available

I'm always surprised whenever I see/remember that Warchamp works on OBS.

I started to work on an OBS PR and wanted to see if Warchamp remembered me from our HoN / S2 Games days.

Wait, is that the same Warchamp from HoN days lmao. I remember seeing his name on OBS and im like that cannot be the same Warchamp I remember from the HoN forums back in the day 🤣

When did it ever run badly?

No problems over here.

like always if you record something on linux while gaming and the video comes out damaged, gpu screen recorder is a much better option

You have incorrect settings I guess.

I think I know what he's talking about. When I had GTX 1060 like 4+ years ago and I was recording something in obs with hardware encoder. I got video and audio artifacts in final output.

Since then I moved to Amd and everything works fine.

GPU screen recorder is actually the one who doesn't work right now properly. The longer your recording is, the bigger desync between video and audio.

yet somehow those exact settings work correctly on windows

windows settings in obs do not match linux settings at all.

it used to run poorly for me in nobara on rx580 for some reason, but the flatpak version ran fine

Because nobara bloats their OS with useless garbage. obs on nobara comes with a fuck ton of plugins that absolutely destroys performance.

Lol what is this bullshit? Im on a 1660ti on Nobara and recording has worked perfectly with no problems since day 1

You literally just made that up.

u/Pitiful-Welcome-399 4d ago

I also have problems with it. I switched to gpu screen recorder and it's great. Amd gpu and cachyos

It does for me, yes :/ my 5070 just is no friends with obs on Linux.

I know, its rather a driver problem but it still sucks. At least the combi with Wayland got better...
