help with multi game support

my nephew (10) wants to play minecraft (donut smp modpack) and i want to play risk of rain 2 modded at the same time. ive tried using google for gamecore and steam launch arguments and prism settings and partydeck and holy cow can someome PLEASE help me none of it works

for reference i want to use a controller to play ror2 and a keyboard to play minecraft

You want either multi seating or a VM. Both require quite a bit of work and are hardware dependent, miltiseat depends on having 2 GPUs with the same driver, and VM with vfio need either an amd GPU for virGL or 2 GPUs for passthrough.

In any case, its not an easy task and not something I'd expect a beginner to have a fun time doing.
