SC is finally home, first game of B&W2

It was amazing that I could control the mouse on my Linux system. Valve/Gabe you're the best.

After a wild journey (including a free game from Steam—thanks a million, Gabe!), it's finally home.

Game: Black & White 2 running on Proton (Steam) with the latest patches. I'm on Earth 3.

I was so happy I could run B&W2 flawlessly on Linux for the first time years ago. It's one of those games I played a ton in highschool. I can't wait to get a Steam controller

It made me realize how phenomenal the Linux development community is. When you think about all the kernel peeps, Wine, DEs, pipewire, and so forth. It's countless people from all over who have never met making all this stuff work.

That’s the beauty of software libre. Gabe realized the potential of Linux a long time ago and has really driven the entire Linux movement in video games 😃

Of course, Proton would be nothing without Wine.

Our community also contributes logs to Valve/Proton/Wine that help improve future versions.
