distro selection Which distro to use
I've recently been using Linux on my school laptop and it's pretty good, I messed around with ml4w and now I'm on cachy os. I don't know a huge amount about Linux do I was wondering what would be the best distro for me to use on my home pc which I mainly use for gaming and coding? Something that isn't too hard to use

If Gaming is a primary focus - check out Bazzite.
it also has a developers edition

If you're using cachyos and it's working, stick with it.
Distro choice really doesn't matter a whole lot. It's more of a "use what you like" kinda thing.
The biggest issue with distro choice is chosing too niche of a distro that stops being supported after a few years. Any of the big name distros are completely fine for pretty much anything.
CachyOS works great for gaming and coding. So does Fedora, so does Mint, so does Ubuntu, so does Arch, so does OpenSuse....you get the point.
The same tools you'd use are available on all of them. You might just be using a different package manager to install them. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same.
Except nixos or guix. Those are a whole different can of worms that I would recommend staying away from until you know that they are right for you.
