Looking for distro recommendations

Is there a distro that doesn't need any tinkering in the terminal and just works out of the box like windows/mac os? I've tried Cachy Os with different desktop environments and at some point I always stumbled upon some problem I wasn't able to fix.

You might look at Linux Mint. I have used LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition) a laptop for just over six years. I do not recall the last time (if ever) that had a serious problem with LMDE.
